  • What does this color horse symbolize?
  • What was the rider given? From whom was it given? And for what purpose?

Verses 5-6

  • The Third Seal
  • Which of the four living creatures cries out “Come forward?”
  • Who/what came forward?
  • What does this color horse symbolize?
  • What does the scale symbolize?
  • What was the rider given?
  • What instructions were given this rider and from whom were they given?
  • What is the task/purpose of the third rider?

Verses 7-8

  • The Fourth Seal
  • Which of the four living creatures cries out “Come forward”
  • Who/what came forward?
  • What does this color horse symbolize?
  • What was the rider and companion given? From whom was it given? And for what purpose?

Verses 9-11

  • The Fifth Seal
  • Who was seen under the altar?
  • Whom did the souls under the altar address?
  • What was their expectation of Him?
  • Who was God expected to take his vengeance upon?
  • What were the souls given? What does the gift symbolize?
  • When would God take His vengeance?

Verses 12-17

  • The Sixth Seal
  • What\’s happening to the Earth and sky?
  • What does humanity do, physically, in response?
  • Who/what does humanity cry out to?
  • What do they ask?
  • What do they say is, perhaps, not withstandable?
  • Are you ready for the day the first six seals are opened?
  • Would you rather be a martyr on that day or a living person?
  • What are you doing to prepare for that day?

APPLICATION:

Compare the following verses:
Mat 24:6-7 with Rev 6:3-4, Mat 24:7 with Rev 6:5-6, Mat 24:7-9 with Rev 6:7-8, Mat 24:9-10 and Mat 24:16-22 with Rev 6:9-11, Mat 24:29 with Rev 6:12-14, Mat  24:32-25:26 with Rev 6:15-17.  What do you see in these comparisons?  What do you learn about Jesus from this comparison; about God?
