- Describe the traits of a bride made beautiful for her husband – how could those traits be associated with the new Jerusalem?
- What is happening in verse 3? Compare this presence of God with Genesis, Exodus , AD, and at this point? (Lev 26:11-12, 1Ki_8:27; 2Ch_6:18, Eze_37:27)
- Compare the Genesis 3:13-19 to Verse 4 – what has happened? What do you think is meant by “for the first things have come to an end”
Verses 5-6
- Jesus describes himself in verses 5-6 – what attributes do you find here?( Isa_43:19; 2Co_5:17)
- What is Jesus offering? ( Isa_55:1-3, Jer_2:13)
Verses 7-8
- What reward is offered to the victorious (overcomer)
- Review and discuss the traits of those who will have their part in the sea of ever-burning fire which is the second death.
- What do you think about this list of traits of the condemed and what does it say about you and your relationship with God?
Verses 9-27
- Revelation 15:1 – the angels who were reigning destruction – now showing God’s glorious new city. What does this tell you about the character of the angels?
- What do you think John means by “took him away in the Spirit”?
- What was John seeing?
- What do you think it means that the city was clear as glass?
- What do you think it means that the city’s wall had 12 doors for the 12 tribes of Israel?
- Verse 13 – review Numbers Chapter 2 for the way God ordered the Israelites to surround the tent of meeting.

- Verses 16-17 detail the size of the town – 18″ in cubit. – walls about 216 feet high.
