- What is Jesus command regarding judging?
- On what grounds does Jesus explain that we should not judge?
- What does Jesus mean *”The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you”* in Verse 2?
- Discuss the comparison between the beam and the splinter:
- Who in the story has the beam and who the splinter?
- Why do you think Jesus told the story that way?
- Does the comparison indicate lesser and greater evils? If so, what is it saying about each?

- What does Jesus mean in this verse?

- What value will be for prophets, and those who do good in Jesus name but who don’t do the will of God?
- Isn’t doing good and fortelling and healing the will of God?
Verses 24-29
- What do we have to do in order to benefit from Jesus words?
- Compare the effects of listening to his words and acting or not acting on them?
- What astonished the crowds after Jesus finished teaching?
- Can you imaging what that must have been like? How would he have to teach to have that kind of effect on you?
